Make Christmas Magical For All: This year not only did we put out a plea for presents we asked for food and trees and decorations for those less fortunate. We were aiming to evolve it forward to help all, from children through to the elderly with everything they needed to bring a piece of Christmas spirit to all. Yet again we were overwhelmed by peoples generosity. It empowers us to to see that even though we are in a recession that people are willing to help others less fortunate. Food, Hampers, Presents,Decorations, Trees and money came through our doors in abundance. It was an unbelieveable and emotional sight to see. We where able to reach out to so many over the Xmas period. Yet gain people had come up trumps and it was an unbelievable sight to see as well as a humbling experience delivering everything on the 23rd December. We also yet again were able to give to Mathew 20 and the Salvation Army both dedicate their time and energy to feeding the homeless at Christmas. Between them they recieved a total of £220-00. We are so greatful to all that contributed to this cause and we thank each person who donated no matter how large or small every thing and anything helps. Also to the lovely Jan thank-you for your patience and time in helping to deliver the items, a lot of mileage and time given, we cant thank-you enough. |

Make Christmas Magical Appeal The Christmas period came and went, and everyday the postman brought us parcels from all over the UK we were very thankful and overwhelmed by peoples generosity and it a very empowering thought to see so many people freely giving gifts to those children who have nothing . We ended up with over 37 sacks and three large boxes for community childrens groups. It was wonderful delivering these gifts on the day before Xmas Eve, and we saw the joy on so many peoples faces, we cant thank you all enough. In the end we not only gave to Chestnut Tree House, But we also gave to Demelza and we gave to Friston Ward@ The District General Hospital, and Matthew 20 mission, All that recieved gifts were taken a baback and we know that Christmas was made magical for every Child in Suusex Our Homeless appeal went on until the 22nd December and all donations were in a sealed box, we opened the box that night and were very pleased to see that we would be able to help Matthew 20 Mission as well as The Salvation Army. £270-00 it was a fantastic result and it just goes to prove that even if you only donate a penny, that every penny counts.... Christmas was a very overwhelming and humbling time for us and we can't believe the extent of people generosity |
